I’ve been wondering if people prefer to view homes that are furnished or unfurnished. I prefer to view homes with furniture in them but wasn’t sure what others thought. I ran a poll on social media and the results were 70% in favor of furnished over unfurnished. What does the data tell us?
In fact, 83% of buyer’s said staging a home made it simpler for a buyer to picture the property as their future home, according to the National Association of Realtors. Here are some of the main justifications why home staging is so crucial:
It helps to show off the home’s potential: Staging can be used to draw attention to a home’s best qualities, like its roominess, natural light, and general usefulness. A house may appear more inviting in photographs if: Many prospective homeowners start their search online. When it comes to luring potential buyers, having high-quality images that present the house in the best possible light can be a game-changer.
Buyers find it easier to visualize living there if they can. A furnished home makes it simpler for prospective buyers to picture themselves residing there. By creating a neutral, inviting atmosphere, staging can help buyers picture their own furniture and belongings in the space, which can make them more likely to make an offer. It can help a home sell more quickly: According to a survey by the Real Estate Staging Association. Homes that are staged typically sell 73% faster than those that are not. This can be especially important in a competitive market where buyers may be weighing multiple options.
So you know what I’ll be doing over the next couple of weeks! Shopping for furniture to help stage my properties.
