The Brookline Far Out concert gives neighbors a Friday-night plan close to home. The Boston funk and soul-pop band will play at Big Bear Lodge on October 16, 2026, from 7 to 9 p.m. The show is part of the Andres Institute of Art’s fundraising concert series, supporting its art and mission.

The organizer describes The Far Out’s sound as a blend of vocals, horns, and energetic grooves. If the band’s name is new to you, try a song or two before Friday. That can help everyone in your group decide whether this is their kind of night.
Plan dinner before you go
The lodge does not provide food service. Guests may bring takeout or snacks. Drinks are sold on site, and outside beverages are not permitted. An elevator connects the first-floor gallery with the upstairs venue.
For an easier evening, settle the food plan when you buy tickets. Eat beforehand, or choose a meal that is simple to carry and enjoy at a table. If someone in your party needs specific access arrangements, contact the venue before leaving home. The institute lists 603-732-0216 for concert questions.
Make it a relaxed local outing
A two-hour show leaves room to keep the rest of Friday simple. Pick one meeting place if friends are arriving separately. Send your group the venue address ahead of time so everyone uses the same destination. Allow time to find the entrance and get settled. Save the ticket confirmation somewhere easy to reach on your phone.
Before heading out, revisit the organizer’s listing for any updates. A little planning lets the music take center stage at the Brookline Far Out concert.
