The Andres Institute sculpture symposium closes in Brookline on Sunday, October 4, 2026, with a celebration of three new works. The 26th Annual Bridges & Connections International Sculpture Symposium closing ceremony runs from 1–2:30 p.m. Afterward, visitors can attend a reception in the Welcome Center.

See the new works with their artists

The ceremony will move between the three newly completed works along the park’s trails. At each stop, visitors will see the sculpture in its permanent setting and hear from its creator. The organizers recommend sturdy shoes and suggest considering trekking poles.

Some chairs will be available at the sculpture sites. However, visitors should leave them for people who need a rest. Read the official event details before planning your afternoon.

Andres Institute sculpture symposium: where to meet

This year’s theme is “Curiosity.” The participating artists are Fermin Castro, Dankha Zomaya and Marin Murakoshi. The symposium schedule lists the information kiosk at the base of the trails as the meeting point. That location may change based on where the new sculptures stand, so check for updates. Both the ceremony and reception are free and open to the public.

Plan for an outdoor visit

Parking is at the Visitor Center, 106 Route 13 in Brookline. From the lot, signs lead toward the trailhead and information kiosk. Also, bring water and insect repellent, and take all trash home.

The terrain includes uphill walking, dirt and gravel paths, roots and stones. Visitors with access questions should call 603-732-0216 in advance. According to the visitor information page, staff can help identify more accessible works. They can also discuss possible driving access to the Studio with advance notice.

Keep exploring after the ceremony

The sculpture park’s trails open daily from dawn to dusk, with no admission charge. Its 140-acre landscape includes roughly 10 miles of trails and more than 100 sculptures. As a result, there is plenty to explore beyond Sunday’s three additions.

A trail map is available at the kiosk and through the institute’s hiking information page. Keep dogs leashed and stay on marked trails. Finally, check the official Andres Institute sculpture symposium event listing for updated meeting-point instructions before leaving home.
