Explore the library grounds
An October visit can also include the library’s outdoor spaces. Its Story Trail runs along the Gregg Street walkway in front of the building. From April through October, the trail offers a different children’s story each month.
Meanwhile, the Smart Park has outdoor musical instruments, tables, benches and a Little Free Library. Indoors, the youth library’s Hub offers puzzles, computers and activities alongside its books. See the library campus guide for more details.
New to Wilton? Check your library-card options
The library says people age five and older who live, work, own property or attend school in Wilton qualify for a free card. Others can purchase an annual card for $30. If you recently moved to town, start with the library’s card information before your first visit.
Before you go
The library is at 7 Forest Road. Its regular hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m.–7 p.m.; Friday, 1:30–5 p.m.; and Saturday, 9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. It closes Sundays and Mondays. However, the October 3 listing extends beyond regular Saturday hours, so confirm that day’s arrangements.
For Wilton library October events, check each listing for program details. Call 603-654-2581 with registration or attendance questions. Also review the hours and contact page for weather-related or public-safety changes before leaving home.
